16 Year Old From Leeds Pleads Guilty To Terrorism Offences Following Summons

A 16 year old boy from Leeds has today (Thursday, February 17) pleaded guilty to two offences under the Terrorism Act after been summoned to appear before Westminster Youth Court.

He was formally charged today with one offence under Section 2 of the Terrorism Act (dissemination of a terrorist publication) and one offence under Section 58 of the Terrorism Act (possession of a document or record containing information of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism).

He has today pleaded guilty to those charges and has been bailed to appear before Leeds Youth Court on March 14, 2022 for sentencing.

The 16 year old was arrested by officers from Counter Terrorism Policing North East in May 2021 and July 2021.
