Death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

The Queen

Queen Elizabeth II
by Dorothy Wilding, 26 February 1952

We are incredibly saddened to hear of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

On behalf of everyone at Counter Terrorism Policing, I send my deepest condolences to the Royal Family.

Her unwavering commitment and dedication will always be remembered. It is a poignant day for many in policing who have been involved in the security of Royal events, visits and indeed members of the Royal Family.

Over the coming days, as the nation unites in grief, we will be there again to keep people safe as they pay their respects and share their memories of Her Majesty.

Matt Jukes,
Head of Counter Terrorism Policing
