Based in our Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) Customer Support Centre (CSC), you’ll be part of a highly skilled Applications & Data team. Together, you’ll provide excellent 2nd line support, keeping business-critical applications in perfect working order. You’ll also help to plan and carry out upgrades and patches, so systems run at their best. It’s crucial work that could bring you into contact with a wide range of people.
Perhaps you’re currently in a 2nd or 3rd line application support role. Or maybe you’re ready to move up from a 1st line technical service desk. Either way, you’ll understand ITIL process, business logic and change management. And you’ll have resolved incidents and service requests using service management tools. In terms of technical expertise, we’re looking for a good grasp of application languages and technologies including SQL, HTML, .net, C# and IIS hosting. And you should also be up to speed with the application backup, restore and Application Disaster Recovery (DR) process too.
