The successful candidate will need to:

  • Have an ability to work alone but also as part of a team;
  • Show good interpersonal and presentation skills;
  • Be able to communicate at all levels with confidence;
  • Demonstrate a high standard of report writing and have good IT skills;
  • Have excellent record keeping management;
  • Have evidence of problem solving and a high level of personal responsibility;
  • Have community and customer focus along with good planning skills.

This is a full-time post (37 hours per week, Monday-Friday) ensuring coverage across the core office hours of 08:00 to 17:00. The working day is 8 hours including lunch break.  On occasions you will need to be flexible outside of these hours to deliver a service to our partners and clients. This position is not currently suitable for part time working.

Although you will be employed by Bedfordshire Police the successful candidate will be based within a key location in the eastern region.  There is a requirement to travel to provide support in any of the county forces, you therefore must be in possession of a valid UK driving licence.

This is an agile role, as per ERSOU guidance.  Whilst some functions need to be delivered at designated sites, others can be undertaken remotely. The position will be primarily office-based, with some agile working supported.

The successful candidate will be given extensive training and support. They will be required to attend and pass the three-week CTSA Foundation Course, as well as a series of thematic based courses during the following two years, and be expected to attain the relevant Certificate of Occupational Competence within that period.  Due to the extensive cost and level of training, the successful candidate will need to commit to a minimum of 3 years in the role (from the point of completion of the CTSA Foundation Course).
