This is a key role delivering counter terrorism (CT) security awareness advice throughout the South West in accordance with the national CT strategy, protecting the region against attack.
In support of the regional CT Security Advisors (CTSAs) you will be expected to devise, arrange and deliver terrorism and extremism related training and protective security briefings, in the form of bespoke presentations or nationally designed products such as ACT awareness. You must have excellent communications skills, a good standard of computer literacy, experience of producing computer based or written reports to a deadline, plus experience of problem solving methodology and practice. You will need a proven track record of devising and delivering presentations and training, exhibit clear evidence of very good interpersonal skills, with an aptitude to influence and persuade at a higher level.
Although based in Bristol the post-holder will have a remit across all of the South West forces and should hold a full current driving licence to enable travel around the region. You will be expected to work flexibly, visiting potential customers to arrange events, liaising around content, co-ordination and delivery, and then following-up concerning subsequent events and evaluation.
Ideally you will have a good knowledge of current affairs and global counter terrorism matters. Experience of working within a police, governmental or other counter terrorism environment would be advantageous.
