An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a full time police constable to be seconded (please see alternative advert) or police staff equivalent (PSE), to join the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit, CT Policing Financial Investigations Team located at a covert location in Hertfordshire.

Given the nature of the CT effort there may be a requirement to travel throughout the Eastern Region based on operational need. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated person looking to develop their career, and work within the Counter Terrorism environment. You will be part of a small team undertaking proactive and reactive counter terrorism financial investigations establishing funding or other links to Terrorist and Domestic Extremist Organisations. Providing assistance to Regional/National CT teams and partner agencies by developing intelligence, investigations, disruptions in support of Counter Terrorist and Domestic Extremist issues within the Eastern Region.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate competence in their current role and be able to demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills. The successful candidate must also be able to drive as this role involves travel throughout the Eastern region.

Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo Management Vetting (5 years residency criteria) and Security Clearance (5 years residency criteria) or Development Vetting, if applicable, before taking up the post. Please be aware the Police Corporate Vetting Unit will undertake security vetting on successful candidates, their family and others that live at their home address, which will include financial checks. Due to the sensitive nature of these checks, we are not able to supply feedback should clearance be declined.
