Information About The Role :

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE) within the Research and Analysis team as an Intelligence Analyst. The Research and Analysis Team produces high quality research and analytical products to support all areas of CTPSE business. This role is aligned to the CT Borders Policing Team (CTBP). CTBP work in partnership with other border law enforcement and intelligence agencies in protecting national security from the threats posed by Terrorism and Serious & Organised Crime.

The Border Intelligence Analyst role is a varied one, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to produce high quality strategic and tactical analysis of travel intelligence to support the management of known and unknown threats posed by individuals and groups seeking to travel across borders in furtherance of terrorism and serious organised crim

Responsibilities : 

  • Analyse a wide range of data including CT travel intelligence, travel route, manifest data and other border related information to produce both tactical and strategic products.
  • Use structured analytical techniques (SATs) and analytical vocabulary to assess the activities of individuals/groups/themes to establish the threat.
  • Identify intelligence gaps and recommendations to drive decision making at both a tactical and strategic level.
  • Provide expertise to undertake collection, analysis and presentation of performance information to inform decision making, strategic direction and business planning.
