We are seeking an experienced and motivated staff member for a National Training role within the National Counter Terrorism Police Headquarters Operational Development Unit (NCTPHQ ODU).
You will work closely with the National Training Manager and team to ensure the training, development and provision is relevant for the CT Network to meet its objectives.
You will be responsible for the delivery of a range of comprehensive Intelligence learning and development programmes for the ODU in accordance with the National Training and Development Strategy. The post also provides an excellent career opportunity for a motivated and flexible staff member who is capable of identifying training needs and developing innovative training solutions. Appropriate training and support will be provided.
Previous experience of working within Counter Terrorism or Special Branch Policing is essential for this role (specifically in the Intelligence thematic area). It is essential that you have experience of training delivery, including knowledge of the principles and methods of training. Ideally you will hold a recognised training qualification (e.g. Award in Education and Training Level 3) and demonstrate experience of delivering a variety of training inputs to a varied audience.
A positive attitude, excellent interpersonal, communication, organisational and time-management skills will help you to succeed in this role. Excellent IT skills and a good standard of numeracy and literacy are essential. The successful applicant needs to be able to demonstrate a flexible, customer focused approach. Have the ability to work with minimal supervision, manage their own workload, work under pressure and use their own initiative.
