Information About The Role
An opportunity has arisen to join the Prevent Team at Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE). Working within Prevent, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a difference by supporting individuals vulnerable to radicalisation.
The successful candidate will work within the Gateway Team and will be a central point of contact for CTPSE Prevent, liaising with internal and external partners. The candidate will be responsible for accurately recording referrals and supporting the wider Prevent teams by undertaking enquiries and research. The candidate will have strong communication skills, experience of partnership working and the ability to handle sensitive information. The candidate will need to demonstrate an understanding of National Prevent Strategy and the Counter Terrorism & Securities Act 2015.
Please note that this role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you may be required to travel for business purposes mainly across the south east region and occasionally throughout the UK. Therefore, the successful candidate will require a full UK driving licence.
Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary to pass and maintain vetting level SC. In order to achieve this, you must be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past five years. Exemptions apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad.
