The Project Officer role is within the CTPNW Regional Change Team based at GMP-FHQ in Manchester but covers both local and regionally delivered national projects across the CTPNW area.
Each Project Officer typically manages multiple projects from initiation to closure, under the supervision of the Regional Change Manager / Senior Project Officer and the governance of Project Boards.
Projects vary and may involve changes to organisational structure, processes or technology and therefore the Project Officer needs to be able to operate well in all these areas, with the support of Subject Matter Experts within these fields. They will need to control and monitor progression through the various stages of the project, and will also need to provide both written and verbal updates to ensure that the project board and other key stakeholders are informed and able to make decisions appropriately. Planning is key to the role, as is the management of risks, issues and dependencies.
It is important to develop and maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication, identifying and resolving issues and conflicts within projects and ensure smooth transition to business as usual at project completion.
We are looking for an experienced Project Officer who is able to effectively and efficiently manage and deliver multiple diverse projects for a range of different stakeholders.
The individual must have experience of managing projects in a large organisation or public sector environment. They must have proven ability to work and communicate with management at all levels and be highly organised with an ability to manage time and execute tasks effectively.
