Information about the Role
You will join a growing team that sits at the heart of the CTP network. The Data and Analysis Pillar was established in 2019 to transform CTP’s use of data, analysis and technology. An overarching strategy for Data & Analysis has been developed under our Director. Our vision is that CTP becomes a data-centric organisation, with the right data exploitable by the whole network against any threat, utilising the best available capabilities, while maintaining legal compliance and public trust.
Working to the Head of Analysis for CT Policing, the Analysis & Research team are responsible for setting the strategic direction for the network, by assessing, articulating and prioritising the national security threats to the UK. Working closely with cross-government partners, the team provide functional and thematic analytical support to senior leaders to inform decision-making. The HQ team also lead capability development for A&R through Learning & Development and Tools & Technology functions.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with development of analytical products to support work across the teams.
- Conducting open source research and other tasks to support intelligence development.
- Developing recommendations from internal reviews to consider how structural changes can be made to the network.
- Work with the learning and development team to design and document a career pathway for Analysts and Researchers in CTP.
- Other project work as required by the team, with the opportunity to shape tasks based on your areas of interest / study and subject matter knowledge.
About you
Must be an undergraduate student in a sandwich year course returning to study in autumn 2026.
