Information about the Role

Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) performs a critical role, keeping the country safe. As part of the CT Border Operations Centre (CTBOC) you’ll play your part in protecting the UK.

This is an exciting time to join us. CTBOC provides the national direction and coordination for CT Border Policing across the United Kingdom. In this role you will be exposed to a wide range of tasks from supporting national operations, to undertaking national projects, to helping develop national policies and guidance, to exploring new ways of working making use of the latest technology.

If you decide you want to join us, you will be at the heart of supporting and coordinating the delivery of these key functions. As well as working closely with all Police Services within the UK, this role involves close collaboration with key external partners including the Security Services, Home Office, UK Border Force and the NCA.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting CTBOC colleagues with border related taskings.
  • Working to deliver projects within the key CTBOC work streams of Policy & Operational Guidance, National Operations, Business Strategy and Technology.
  • Maintaining effective working relationships with key internal / external partners nationwide.
  • Producing professional reports and documentation and on occasion delivering presentations.
  • Representing CTBOC at cross agency meetings.
  • Maintaining a good working knowledge of relevant legislative procedures and national policy.

About you

Must be an undergraduate student in a sandwich year course returning to study in autumn 2026.
