Vehicle Replacement Programme Manager – Band D – LSS – Counter Terrorism Policing HQ

Job Summary

This role provides support to the Head of LSS in delivering the London based Capital Vehicle Replacement Programme for both Counter Terrorist & Protective Security Grant funded vehicles, whilst maintaining a database of all CT/PSG funded vehicles and mapping a five year replacement programme.  Will assist in the successful management of relationships with service providers within the MPS Frontline Support Services and external partners.

This role is tasked with ensuring that Service Level Agreements are performing to the required standard and making recommendations for change.

Preparation of business cases for business group related activity over a broad range of disciplines.

Coordinate compilation of strategic vehicular related resource plans on behalf of

CTP HQ and the wider SO Business Group

Liaison with business partners within the MPS or wider outsourced contractor regarding high level procurement activity.

Provide inspection and review functions across all of CTP or PSG funded vehicles to ensure best value in relation to utilisation.

The post holder will also have direct line management responsibility for five (5) Resource Fleet Assistants who are embedded across SO Business Group and support the CTPHQ Safer Driver Manager.

Key Responsibilities;

The post holder will be required to do the following:

  • Hold a current full UK driving Licence
  • Clear understanding of the Police Vehicle and Driver Regulations
  • Clear Understanding of the Home to Work Policy
  • Managing and delivering quality business support services
  • Sound Resource Management
  • Good interpersonal skills, expected to manage expectations and prioritise conflicting demands
  • Highly effective communication skills.
