Information about the Role
Our Counter Terrorism Borders Officers are at the front line of protecting national security from threats posed by terrorism, serious and organised crime at borders and ports of Hampshire. Borders Officers are tasked to manage the known and unknown threats posed by individuals and groups seeking to travel across borders in furtherance of terrorism and serious organised crime.
This role is intrinsic to the UK Counter Terrorism Strategy and supporting the British Intelligence Services in mitigating the threat to UK interests at home and abroad.
We welcome applications from suitably qualified Sergeants to work at Farnborough airport to lead our Counter Terrorism Policing Borders (CTPB) team as part of the front line, protecting national security from the threats posed by Terrorism and Serious & Organised Crime. You will work closely with our partners, gathering and supervising the submission of quality intelligence in relation to terrorism, extremism and serious and organised crime.
To be successful in this role you will be inquisitive and outward looking. You must possess strong communication skills, be able to generate high quality, detailed reports, have experience of collaborating with partners and stakeholders, be able to evidence experience of strong leadership where you have enabled others to perform effectively with high ethical standards and have demonstrable experience of understanding root causes to take action and make informed decisions in time critical situations.
