Information about the Role
As Policy Officer in the SPIRA (Standards, Policy, Inspection, Resilience) you will work in a dynamic, established and mutually supportive unit to drive improvement and support consistency of policy within the national Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) Network. This includes but is not limited to the writing and implementation of policy and guidance and being responsible for the provision of advice and support to colleagues across the Network.
A large part of this role is liaison; your interpersonal skills will successfully gather key information from the Network to deliver a high-quality policy review/update. Building and maintaining key relationships to guarantee open collaborative dialogue with a diverse range of partners to understand the needs and requirements of the Network, and ensure SPIRA (Standards, Professionalism, Inspection, Resilience and Applications) set the expectation of high standards.
Responsibilities
- Working with SPIRA colleagues to develop changes to policy, processes or guidance.
- In consultation with wider SPIRA, provide direction and assistance in the development of national policy and operational guidance
- Plan and deliver national workshops, conduct consultation with Network SMEs and stakeholders for the alignment of business change to the needs of the Network.
- Work closely with Organisational Learning/Training functions at regional and national level for consistent delivery of business change whist forging strong relationships with regional colleagues.
