An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Detective Inspector to join CTPNW as an Intelligence Manager within the Fixed Intelligence Management Unit (FIMU) for the Lancashire/Cumbria Hub.
Based at Lancashire Police headquarters, the FIMU is the backbone of Counter Terrorism Policing and liaison with other teams and strands within CTPNW is routine. The FIMU is comprised of four teams of officers and staff, each working to a Detective Sergeant or intelligence supervisor. The FIMU is the ‘front door’ into CTPNW, and staff are responsible for the assessment of incoming intelligence and determining CT relevancy. The FIMU also jointly covertly investigate cases of national security concern alongside partners in the UK intelligence community. As the DI for the unit, your role will be varied and you will lead the team and be responsible for the management and oversight of covert investigations.
