Counter Terrorism Case Officer – Police Constable – Prevent – Counter Terrorism Policing South East

Contract type – Full Time, Permanent

Rank – Police Constable

Information about the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a  CT Case Officer (CTCO) to work within the Counter Terrorism Unit in the South East (CTPSE) under the Prevent Strand of the United Kingdom’s Counter-Terrorism strategy (CONTEST).  Based out of Kent, you will be connecting CT policing, neighbourhood policing and communities to stop individuals being exploited by extremists; working with local authority partners and community organisations to help find solutions and work to support and protect people vulnerable to radicalisation.

The core responsibilities of a CTCO involve Case Management and Partnership Engagement.

Prevent CTCOs play a key role in assessing if cases are suitable for Local Authority led management within Channel Panel.  Coordinating risk management between different organisations is an important part of this work, so a strong safeguarding background would be advantageous.
