Information about the Role

As a member of the Local Support Services Building Management team CTPHQ, this role provides locally based hands-on support to the delivery of FM and property related services at CTOC (ESB). This role is important in maintaining an exemplary service to senior officers, staff and Partners in the most significant, operationally critical and highly sensitive building.

Reporting to the CTOC Building Manager, this role is based in CTOC supporting the delivery of all soft and hard FM services; working closely with operational police officers, Staff and Partners; monitoring compliance with all relevant Health & Safety (H&S) and related regulation; helping to improve utilisation and working practices through monitoring the adoption of ‘smarter working’; utilisation and providing onsite support for all people moves and related activities.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain positive relationships with all occupying units, including:

  • Work closely with all occupying units, developing relationships at appropriate levels
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the building at all times

Support the planning, preparation and execution of moves as required, including but not limited to:

  • Carry out targeted utilisation and locker surveys to inform desk assignments, workplace design and move planning
  • Assist in the audit of existing storage and other facilities

Support building management and FM services delivered on site, including:

  • Support the provision of hard and soft FM services to ensure effective building maintenance, working with FM colleagues, the FM Integrator and supply chain as appropriate and maintenance contractors.
  • Follow the booking process for maintenance contractors, adhering to security requirements.

Contribute to Health & Safety and regulatory compliance, including:

  • Complete daily safety tours and periodic inspections and report using agreed templates, covering all regulatory requirements according to a given schedule
  • Support the inspection activities of specialist inspectors in H&S and other disciplines, e.g. water, waste, fire, electrical
