Information about the Role
As a Junior Software Developer, with a focus on developing and refining our IT Service Management (ITSM) toolsets, you will be involved in providing technical support and expertise to the Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) national operations centre: the CSC. You will assist in vital operations and strategic work as the CSC seeks to improve and modernise its ITSM platform and tooling, which is currently an on-premise installation of Service Now.
Responsibilities
The post holder will be required to do the following:
- Liaise with the Service Owner, CSC Working Group, X-Government Service Now Forum and Service Now to comprehend strategic direction of the platform and work to realise benefits and improvement across the enterprise
- Proactively develop and refine current instance in conjunction with existing collaborative partnerships
- Engage in longer term projects as required
- Integration of new releases, patches, services, solutions and infrastructure
- Tactical development of scripts/solutions
- Tactical development of hardware exploits
