Information about the role
Working effectively with colleagues across counter terrorism, including partner agencies, you’ll provide intelligence support to major covert Counter Terrorism investigations.
You’ll develop and evaluate intelligence, ensuring that there is a quality assessment of threat, risk, harm and vulnerabilities and ensure your team handles and disseminates intelligence in a best practice manner to achieve comprehensive National Intelligence Model (NIM) compliant products.
You’ll ensure evidential excellence with all relevant products and be required to attend court to give expert testimony if required.
Responsibilities
- Supervising and contributing to the preparation and presentation of intelligence products, summaries and subject packages to support investigations, proactively identifying opportunities for further investigation and development.
- Supervising and supporting intelligence within structures to support preplanned operations or no notice attacks.
- Attending local, regional and national meetings.
- Developing and maintaining an understanding of all legislative requirements relating to intelligence and ensuring compliance.
- Performing the Gatekeeper role for the 2016 Investigative Powers Act.
- Ensuring highly sensitive information is managed within the Government Security Classification (GSC) and Security Policy Framework (SPF).
- Maintaining an awareness of local, regional and national intelligence sources, databases and systems.
- Ensuring the implementation of latest techniques and tactics, best practice and information.
