Information about the Role
We are seeking a Policy and Strategy Advisor to support senior leaders across Counter Terrorism Policing, government, and intelligence partners. You will report to the Policy and Strategy Lead within the Strategy, Planning and Performance Directorate at CTPHQ.
The role involves working across CT Policing, intelligence partners, and government to advise on high-level policy, strategy, and legislative ambitions, while working directly with senior policing and government officials. You will be responsible for managing key projects from development to delivery, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and ensuring the delivery of timely, accurate advice across regional, national and international CT policing priorities.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert policy and strategy advice to support effective, informed and coordinated decision-making by senior leaders across Counter Terrorism Policing and government.
- Produce high-quality briefings, letters, and updates to prepare CTPHQ seniors for high-profile external engagements, governance forums, and strategic meetings.
- Interpret and analyse the impact of proposed government policy and legislation on CT policing, articulating a clear and consistent position on behalf of CTPHQ.
- Identify and manage critical policy issues affecting CT Policing, working in collaboration with national and international partners across the policing and security network.
