As a CT Training Officer, you’ll be based in our modern offices near to Birmingham International Airport. You’ll work Monday to Friday, office hours but an element of flexibility is required to meet operational requirements.
You’ll work to design, develop, coordinate, deliver and evaluate training courses to equip Police Staff and Police Officers across West Midlands Police and Regional Forces with skills essential to CTP. This will include, but is not limited to, IT systems training, Counter Terrorism Awareness training and Investigative training.
You’ll ensure that the delivery of training packages effectively meet the needs of the Force by the most appropriate method.
Being flexible and supporting other areas of the department including with testing and exercising is essential.
Responsibilities
- Researching, co-ordinating, facilitating and delivering the national, regional and local learning and development of CTPWM and regional personnel in accordance with other regional and national trainers and subject matter experts.
- Researching, preparing and updating lesson plans and any associated training material for all courses.
- Assisting in the review and development of training modules as part of the national CT training programme.
- Assisting with the identification of training and development gaps.
- Assess the level of understanding gained by students as a result delivering training.
- Responsibility for the programme supervision, discipline and welfare of students whilst they are on the course, providing the necessary support and encouragement in the workplace.
- Assisting in monitoring the effectiveness of the learning and development programmes through the identified evaluation process.
