Information about the Role
This is a critical role in the data office at the centre of the Counter Terrorism Policing network. The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of CTP’s data strategy, run its data governance functions and provide data policy advice on a range of areas.
Key Tasks
The post holder will be required to do the following:
- Develop and implement a coherent long term data strategy for CT Policing to support the effective and ethical use of data across the network.
- Draft data management policies and guidance, reviewing and updating these when needed.
- Lead on data literacy improvement for CTP to improve workforce knowledge and skills.
- Oversee CTP’s data governance, including secretariat functions for the Digital, Data, Analysis and Technology (DDAT) Board, as well as the Data Board that sits beneath it.
- Collaborate with other teams, regional units and partner organisations to enable CTP to operate the best possible data sharing and exploitation practices.
- Line manage four Band C staff, supporting their professional development
- Supporting the leadership and direction of the data office as a whole, promoting co-ordination across teams, wellbeing initiatives and a culture of continuous improvement.
