Teenager Pleads Guilty to Ten Offences

A 15 year old from Stockon-on-Tees appeared before Westminster Youth Court today (Wednesday, March 20) where he pleaded guilty to ten offences. The charges follow an investigation by Counter Terrorism Policing North East into suspected extreme right wing terrorism:

  • Five offences under Section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000 – Collect or makes a record of information of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism
  • Three offences under Section 2 of the Terrorism Act 2006 – Dissemination of terrorist publications
  • One offence under Section 1 Criminal Damage Act 1971 – Criminal Damage
  • One offence under Section 30 Crime and Disorder Act 1988 – Racially Aggravated Criminal Damage

The teenager was arrested in December 2023 as part of a pre-planned intelligence led operation and further arrested in January 2024. He will be sentenced on June 4, 2024.
